We never go to Diamond Lake in the summer because of the horrific mosquitoes. Too bad, because the bike trail is really fun. It's a nice place to be in the fall, though. We had really wanted to come to the PNW this summer but I guess I'm glad we were not able to. Love your pictures from your hike that either crossed or was the PCT. Having hiked the 105 miles of the AT through Shenandoah National Park last summer I'd love to find something like that with the PCT to hike. I think your lake views from the double site are great. Just hearing the water lapping would be wonderful for me.
