I love to see cats on a leash. Glad those two are doing so well. You ...I love those boulders around the campground.

You don't walk a cat; they walk you. After all these years, Bella is still afraid of vehicles.

Nice site at Manzano's too.Paul and Marsha Weaver OCT. 17, 2009https://www.blogger.com/profile/04066424117005030170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9062337474734435253.post-29670362088589322702013-05-01T12:54:09.097-07:002013-05-01T12:54:09.097-07:00We scared our cat when he tried to sneak out. We ...We scared our cat when he tried to sneak out. We took a large set of keys outside with us. When the cat was waiting at the door for us, we rattled the keys and shoved them in his face. We ran away scared and stays away from the door. We have to reinforce it every so often. That's the problem with letting them out...they want to keep going out. Better to scare them than lose them. Actually, the flattest and nicest loop leaves right from Manzano's: 20 miles round trip, good traffic/shoulder conditions.

1. Go EAST on Flury Lane.
2. Go South on Racetrack Road.
3. Enjoy the Noble (architectural) Rot of the town of Santa Clara. Use New and Mill streets and another one or two to get out onto US-180.
4. Head north on 180, towards Silver. Quickly turn east on NM-152.
5. South on NM-356, heading back to Bayard.
6. US-180 again, north. Turn left/west on the south end of the town of Santa Clara, use Mill and New streets to reconnect to Racetrack.
7. Turn left on Flury, and you're home!

It's a pleasant route. It's flat only by local standards, not Florida panhandle standards!kaBLOOnie Boonsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05845667016536890886noreply@blogger.com
