We took...This post was like a blast from the past. We took the McKenzie Pass-Santiam Pass Scenic Byway from the opposite direction, in our truck camper, something I would never recommend. This was our Plan B (not researched beforehand) when we couldn't get to a hike we had planned. The route just opened that day and it was scary in a wider vehicle. All of the beautiful falls along the route helped to distract us. We will have to try Bridge 99 Brewery the next time we are in Bend. I really like how it blends into the surrounding area. <br /><br />I wish we would have spent more time in this area.
