I doubt many people other than my friends or family know how it came about but based on the picture of your friends house which is right across the street from where I grew up you could probably get a good idea that a young boy living in those hills is the reason its named "Andrew Peak". In those days (early 90's) there were only a fraction of people who were enjoying that area than there are today.
