Spending a couple nights at Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel on the way to Albuquerque. We don’t stay at private campgrounds too often, but this place was convenient so we decided to give it a try. It is right off I-25, so there is some traffic noise, but the sites are widely spaced and have vegetation between them. We also used the laundromat and book exchange, and the fee was 50% off with Escapees or Passport America, so for $11/night with sewer hookup, we can’t complain. The owners run an animal rescue service, so there are dogs and cats running around the office. Near the horse stables there are lots of other critters: ducks, geese, sheep, goats, mules and of course, horses. They are used to people so they come right to the fence when you walk up.
This one was our favorite. She is pregnant and we could see the baby moving around.
The sunset last night was incredible, since rain was predicted and the clouds had started moving in.
