about riding a recumbent bicycle.
Yesterday on the Mission bike trail, a polite young man said “That’s a cool bike, sir.” And the day before a teenager shouted “Awesome!”
On my upright bike I barely get a nod.
Now if you really want to call attention to yourself, ride a recumbent trike.
Well heck... if I were decked out like you guys are I'd draw attention if I were in a golf cart! Seriously, I hear those recumbent bikes are much easier on your back?
ReplyDeleteHahaha. What a cute post. Enjoy your last week.
ReplyDeleteDid you read my post about the man with MS who is riding a recumbent from Florida to Seattle. Very inspiring. It's call 'my "if not now, when" Trike Tour'. Check it out and tell him Sherry sent you.

My last ride on my 'bent resulted in a lifetime 5" scar on my left shoulder that cost about $6500 an inch for repair. Loved my 'bent until then.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the amount of attention recumbent trikes get ... and we don't even have to dress up like in the picture. The biggest question seems to be ... how do your steer?
