A Parting Shot from Bonneville Dam

  We had a change in travel plans after talking to several people and doing some research this past week. Decided to head east and south into Nevada instead of heading down the Oregon and California coasts. Had we left a month ago it would have been a better idea, but we didn’t want to risk getting caught in ice and snow trying to get across California. Also the weather on the coast is pretty much like it is here this time of year, rainy and cold. Our new route will at least give us dry weather and blue skies, although it will be cold at night in the desert. We can always do the California coast another time.   Luckily it was a beautiful, clear, calm day to pack up and head out. I’m sure we’ll be back.
