We spent last night in Marsing, Idaho at River Haven RV Park, another $10 Passport park on the Snake River. It wasn’t the greatest place. The sites were very close and some of the long term residents were pretty shady looking characters, but we got pull-thru sites so we didn’t have to unhook the cars.
Today we drove over 200 miles to Winnemucca, NV, a very scenic drive down Nevada Hwy 95, which was an excellent road. We are camped at Hi-Desert RV Park, a step above last night’s park, and another Passport America park for $14/night.
We got here early enough to take the short drive to Water Canyon Recreation Area, a BLM area just outside of town. There were some nice campsites, but since it’s been below freezing at night, and getting dark at 5 o’clock, we prefer the luxury of electric hook-ups.
We took a little hike up a jeep road, where we had great views of the area. We’re really enjoying the wide open spaces of the desert again.
I love your coordinated tire ramp colors. :) Your Sealand bad luck is spreading. I occasionally have a small puddle of CLEAN water on the floor now. :(
ReplyDeleteIt was sort of like synchronized swimming, don't you think? The Sea Land replacement hose was only $28 what a bargain.
