2020

Happy New Year, everyone! Life is good here in Fountain Hills.

View of snowy Four Peaks from our balcony

Still hiking :-)

Forgot I had some pictures on my phone.

Another view of Four Peak and the fountain from the Lake Trail

And yes, we're still taking care of cats at Fearless Kitty Rescue. This is sweet Maverick, patiently waiting for a new home.

  2. Hard to beat those white capped mountains with palm tree silhouettes...not to mention the Mc Dowell Mountain playground up the road. It will be interesting to see what comes this summer when the heat is on. Early mornings will be tolerable for walks and hiking, if you can rouse Jim out of bed :). Counting down here in Lovely Ouray...a winter wonderland again this year with 140% of normal snowpack. I have to admit that there were a few times during snow storms that I only left the house to plow snow and shovel walks. Of course Bobbie never misses a day no matter what the weather.

    1. We would have a hard time getting out in that kind of weather, too, which is why we chose to settle somewhere that it didn't snow. Bobbie is amazing, but then you already know that :-)

    1. Thanks, Happy New Year to you, too! Jim needs some dental work so we may be taking a trip to Algodones soon. Thought we might stop in Tucson either coming or going. I'll keep you posted.

    1. I think it was just time for a change. Jim was the one really pushing to get off the road and I wasn't sure how I would adapt but it feels good so far.
Happy New Year to you, too! Maybe 2020 will be the year we finally meet.

  8. Hope you are blogging once a month at least so I can find out what you are up to. I'm going to read backwards and find out what has happened. That's some view from your balcony and the trails look terrific. What have you found that you really like about being off the road, other than much less driving I would assume.
