More Zion NP

Had a great week at Zion. Went for a bike ride Saturday on the Pa’Rus  Bike Trail and up the main Canyon Road. What a nice ride, since the shuttle and a few cars going to the lodge were the only vehicles on the road. Jim took some photos when he rode. I just enjoyed the scenery as it was a whole different perspective on the bike.P5090006

We left yesterday for Bryce Canyon and made it through the tunnel with no problem. I took this through the dirty car windshield. Looks like the Lazy Daze barely fit, but there really was plenty of room.P5100023

The drive was very scenic on the way to Bryce, especially in the Red Canyon, which is not too far from the park.

More on Bryce later, but suffice it to say, we are loving Utah!

  1. Hi Jim and Gayle,

I am now a regular subscriber to your blog. Don Malpas sent me your way although I think I came across your blog earlier this year. I recognized you as the couple who stopped by to say Hi to us in early January of this year at Elephant Butte big campground. We were in the 2005 blue & white mid-bath LD.

Don tells me he and Dorothy are spending the summer in So. Utah and said they would be linking up with you. We spend much of our get-away time in So. Utah, basing out of Blanding Utah with our airplanes and other toys. Maybe we will see you sometime this summer.

  2. Jan and Mike,

Good to here from you and we do remember meeting you. We are currently in Bryce Canyon NP and will be heading to Kodachrome for a few days then off to Capital Reef.

We plan on being in Glacier around the end of June and then Oregon by August 1st. We will be back next winter most likely.

    Jim
