Perfect Timing for a Photo Op

We’ve had  a couple of very aggravating days dealing with insurance companies, doctor’s offices, and businesses with poor customer service. I will not go into details or a rant on Christmas Eve, but getting out on the trails this afternoon on our mountain bikes sure helped relieve our frustrations. Just as we were heading out on the bikes the camp host came by with his kitty, Miss Lucky, dressed in her finest holiday outfit.

I had been trying to find an appropriate holiday photo for the blog but came up empty. This was just what I was looking for!

How could this not improve our mood? She is simply adorable, and a real sweetheart of a cat who walks with a leash on the trails and never meets a stranger.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Hi MERRY CHRISTMAS. You got to my blog before I made it over here. Your pictures and descriptions of your hikes and bike rides really make me wish I was at least ten years younger. Keep it up it is wonderful for us old fat men to read about them.

  3. It's good to have a nice place to ride when you have to deal with poor customer service. We have an unresolved issue we're still working our way through; it has required a lot of vigorous exercise to get my blood pressure down. The cat is beyond cute, none of mine were ever that cooperative with hats or vehicles. Merry Christmas!

  5. I've been thinking of you two, but I've been too lazy to drive out to see you. In spite of the hassles and challenges you're dealing with, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

  6. I remember Miss Lucky from our one stay at McDowell! I wish Rosie would walk on the leash like Lucky, practically like walking a dog!

Merry Christmas to you too and a healthy, happy, adventurous new year too!

  10. I hope Sophie and Elvis got a good look at what happens to cats when they are naughty not nice. They have to dress in costume. The look of trauma in that cat's eyes screams, "Help me! I am trapped in a miniature fat man's suit!!!" It is enough to send Sophie running back in, locking the door behind her. ;-)

Merry Christmas to you two...Sophie and Elvis too!

  11. Miss Lucky is absolutely darling. We once had a wonderful hiking kitty named Pudentaine. Best cat in the world. So sorry the customer no service and medical maze impacted your holiday cheer. We know them both all too well.

  18. I too feel your pain…especially when it come to insurance companies. One can stop doing business with outlets that have poor customer service, but can't dump a health insurance provider every time they try to "small print" you out of paying for something that doesn't meet exactly their contract's Legalese. One change my provider (Anthem Blue Cross) is trying to slip past it's customers for next year is to not cover emergency room visits. WTF good is health insurance if you can't get treated in an emergency? Don't get me started…
Anyway, I wish you guy health, happiness, and longevity.
