Funny How Things Work Out

While making summer plans, we’ve been trying to decide how long we would stay at Bentsen Palm Village next winter. Jim wanted to get back here to start working on the rest of his dental issues, so we finally decided to come back in mid November. We were planning to book 3 months, then decided on 4. That’s a long time for us to commit to, but we’ve had such a good time here these past few months, we thought we would like to stay longer.

The day after we made our reservation, we were asked if we had any interest in coming back as workampers next season, as one of the activities couples will not be returning. We talked with the other two couples we’d be working with, then discussed it with the park managers, and decided to do it. It means we will have to stay a couple weeks longer, but it seems like a fun job and we really like our coworkers. So, although just a few weeks ago we didn’t know where we were going next, we now have the whole year pretty much all planned out.

I hate doing a blog post with no photos, but we haven’t taken many lately since we’ve been biking a lot. We just don’t stop much to take pictures when we ride. But we did find a nice bench under some trees overlooking this lake where we stopped for a snack. There are some very large homes around here!

  6. Good for you guys! Will you still be able to visit the kitcats at Cinderella next year or will workcamping pretty much fill the day? Great pic BTW.

  7. So nice when things work out - sounds like a match made in heaven!!

That house looks like a hotel - wonder if they'd rent me a room?!?! Actually, Russ and I were talking about big, beautiful houses today. Pretty to look at but I would sure hate to own something like that. I like my old house and small motorhome!
